How to Customize Volume Panel on Samsung Galaxy Phones

You can follow the method below to give a new look to the Volume Panel.

Install Good Lock on Galaxy Phones

  1. Open Galaxy Store on your phone.
  2. Search for Good Lock. Open the one with a puzzle-like icon. It’s an official app from Good Lock Labs.
  3. If you can’t find the app in the store, you can use this link to directly open the Good Lock page in the Galaxy store.
  4. Tap the Install button to get the app on your phone.

Good Lock is available in limited countries. So if it gives you a region error, you can install its alternative like Nice Lock. These alternatives also support Good Lock modules.

Set Up Sound Assistant on Galaxy Phones

Now that you have installed Good Lock, it’s time to install the module that lets you customize the Volume Panel. Follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Good Lock app on your phone.
  2. Go to the Life Up tab.
  3. Scroll down and look for Sound Assistant. Tap on the download icon next to Sound Assistant.
  4. It will take you to the Galaxy Store. From here install the Sound Assistant Module and go back to the Good Lock app.

Now, it’s time for some customization.

  1. Access Sound Assistant from Good Lock > Life Up.
  2. Now open the first option which will be Customize volume panel.
  3. Make sure the option is enabled and then tap Custom.
  4. Here you can check the location to left or right, show or hide volume level, and more.
  5. Swipe to the left to customize the entire panel. Here you can choose to access individual app volumes and toolbar.

You can choose available tools based on your preference.

  1. Go to Good Lock > Life Up > Sound Assistant.
  2. In the Sound Assistant menu, choose the second option ‘Make your own volume panel colors’.
  3. Turn on the toggle to enable it.
  4. Now you can choose the Volume Panel style of your choice.

Here is some information on available Styles:

Lightning Effect – You can choose from different animated color combinations. There are multiple gradient color combinations available.

Texture – You can choose the texture of Volume bars. You can choose between Mesh or Acrylic texture.

Control Type – If you don’t like the bar-like panel, then you can also choose the Knob style for Volume controls. To change volume, all you need to do is rotate the knob and get the feel of a real knob.

Shape – Sound Assistant also has Volume panels in different shapes. You can go with your taste. If you want to keep it small and clean, you can choose a thin Volume panel.

Once you choose elements of your own choice, you can test it by pressing either Volume Up or Volume Down button.

Change Volume Panel Background Theme

You can also change the background color of the expanded Volume panel. But for this, you will need another Good lock module called Theme Park. The module can do many tasks but in this guide, we will only use it for the Volume Panel background theme.

  1. First open Sound Assistant in Good Lock and go to Make your own volume panel colors option.
  2. Here switch to the Theme tab. Now tap on any theme you like.
  3. It will take you to the Theme Park page in the Galaxy Store if it’s not installed. Install the module.
  4. Now go back to the Theme tab.
  5. Browse and select the theme of your choice. If it asks for permission, allow it. The theme will be applied.

You can now check for the new theme. With Theme Park you can also create custom theme for Volume Panel background.
