iOS 14.5 Beta 2 – What’s New
In the last iOS 14.5 Beta 1, Apple changed the text on Software update settings, but now with the second beta, it has been changed back to how it was before.
The latest beta also packs about 217 new Emojis complying to the standard Unicode. You will also find changes in some Emojis.
There’s also a change in Apple Music, where you can now slide right to access Play Next and Play Last options. Also, there is a change in animation in Apple Music. You can now also share Lyrics with anyone directly from Apple Music.
Users can now enable or disable if they want headphone notifications or not on Apple Watch. You can access it from Settings > Accessibility.
There are many other small changes along with some code changes that represent new features coming in newer updates. Also, it comes with bug fixes such as green tint, AirDrop, etc.
Green tint has been fixed for most of the users. But some users are still facing green tint in some situations.
Download iOS 14.5 Beta 2 & iPadOS 14.5 Beta 2
Both iOS 14.5 Beta 2 & iPadOS 14.5 Beta 2 updates are available for Developers as well as Public Beta testers. It means if you have supported iPhones or iPads and opted for the beta, then you will get the update directly on the Software update page. You can manually check for updates by going to Settings > Software Update.
But if you are using the iOS 14.4 public build on your iPhone, then you need to install the beta profile to get the update. You can also wait for the public update if you don’t want to try beta on your primary device. In case you don’t know how to install the beta profile then you can check out the steps below.
Install iOS 14.5 Beta Profile and iPadOS 14.5 Beta Profile
- Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
- Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
- On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
- Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
- Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
- After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.5 beta 2 on your iPhone.
After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad. You can also install iOS 14.5 Beta 2 with the full IPSW file using Finder or iTunes.
