Following the iOS 26.4 update, Apple has released another incremental update, iOS 26.4.2. This update is available to eligible iPhone models, including iPhone 11 and newer models. The iOS 26.4 update was released a month ago, and the iOS 26.4.1 update, which included important bug fixes, was released two weeks later.
In addition to the iOS 26.4.2 update, Apple has also released iPadOS 26.4.2 and iOS 18.7.8. The iOS 26.4.2 update comes with build number 23E261 and is less than a GB if you’re upgrading from iOS 26.4.1. However, it may be larger if you’re upgrading from an older version.

Since this is a small incremental update, it primarily focuses on important bug fixes and improvements. Therefore, you shouldn’t expect major changes in this update. While it doesn’t introduce any new features or major changes, it’s still an important update because of the security updates and bug fixes it includes.
The iOS 26.4.2 update is available to everyone with eligible models who haven’t installed the iOS 26.5 beta updates. If you have an eligible device, you can check for the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Once the update appears, tap on the Download and Install button.
