Apple releases iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 to Public

Finally, after a long run of beta testing the public build of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 are now out. The release candidate for both updates was released last week just after Apple’s event. Apple surprises with new beta updates when we think this is the week, we are going to get a release candidate. The iOS 14.5 received the longest beta interaction run for a non-major iOS update. Here you will know how to get iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 Public or Stable build.

Since the update is available for a couple of months in beta, most of you already know the importance of the update. It comes with many important features that are finally now available for the Public. Last week Apple also released their next beta update as iOS 14.6 Beta 1. It is really fun to see Apple rushing updates and literally users have the option to choose Release Candidate, a Public Build, and a new beta update.

The iOS 14.5 release candidate is already available which is exactly the same as the iOS 14.5 Public build. But beta testers just get the update one week early. If you haven’t tried the iOS 14.5 Beta, now you can enjoy its new features.

Along with iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5, Apple also released macOS Big Sur 11.3, tvOS 14.5, and watchOS 7.4. Both iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 updates come with build number 18E199. The update weighs 1.26GB of size for downloading.

The iOS 14.5 Stable update is rolling out for supported devices over the air. And the best thing about Apple is you don’t have to wait for your turn. As this is a public build, anyone who is on the iOS 14.4.2 or older version can directly install the update. In case if you don’t get the update notification, make sure to manually check for the update. To do so go to Settings > Software Update. And then click on the Download & Install button to enjoy the latest iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5.

If you are a beta tester with a beta profile installed, then you probably know how to install the latest public build. But in case you don’t know, you can get the stable update by removing the beta profile. It is the same as iOS 14.5 Release Candidate so it doesn’t make sense to switch to public build unless you don’t want to try future beta updates.

How to Remove Beta Profile from iPhone and iPad

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Go to General and then Profile.
  3. Now it will show the Beta profile installed on your iPhone or iPad.
  4. Click on the available beta profile.
  5. Then click on the Remove Profile button.
  6. If it asks for the passcode, then enter your device passcode and click the Remove button.

And if your iPhone/iPad running a higher version, then you need to downgrade your Apple device. But it will remove all data from your iPhone. So, we don’t recommend downgrade unless you want to Jailbreak iPhone or iPad.
