With the Android 15 beta reaching the platform stability milestone, other smartphone OEMs started pushing the incremental beta to their compatible devices. Leading the charge, OnePlus has released the second beta of Android 15 for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open.
The incremental beta is already available for download, you can instantly install the second beta on your smartphone. The upgrade is available for all variants of both devices. However, the company advises, “This build of Android 15 is best suited for developers and other advanced users,” and it does not recommend installing it on the primary smartphone.
Android 15 Beta 2 for OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open comes with several improvements, including overall system stability, and addresses bugs like Bluetooth connectivity, split-screen (for OnePlus Open), camera issues, and apps compatibility-related bugs.
Here’s the complete list of changes coming with the second beta.
- System
- Improves system stability and performance.
- Fixes an issue that the Auto Pixlate function fails during screenshot preview.
- Fixes some issues in the split-screen model on the main screen. ( OnePlus Open ONLY)
- Connection
- Fixes Bluetooth compatibility issues in specific scenarios.
- Fixes some problems that the Multi-Screen Connect function is abnormal when connecting with a PC or PAD.
- Fixes an issue that the Personal hotspot may not be able to open after modifying the security settings.
- Camera
- Fixes some functional issues of the camera in specific scenarios.
- Fixes the issue of the Smart Image Matting function failure in certain scenarios.
- Apps
- Fixes compatibility issues with some third-party apps.

Requirements:
- OnePlus 12 must be running 14.0.0.802 or below (The higher version is not compatible, you need to downgrade)
- OnePlus Open must be running 14.0.0.801 or below (The higher version is not compatible, you need to downgrade)
- Carrier TMO/VZW are not compatible
- Take backup of your phone as the process will reset your phone

How to Install Android 15 Beta 2 on OnePlus
- Download the correct ROM file for your phone from links above. Copy the ROM to the Phone Storage, don’t copy it inside any folder. Users from NA can skip to step 4.
- Now enable developer options by going to Settings > About device > Version. Tap Build Number 7 times and you will see developer mode enabled message.
- Next go to Settings > About device > Up to date > Click the top right button > Local install. Locate and select the ROM package. Follow the on-screen instructions and install the package.
- NA Users: Install Updater app on your phone. Open the app > tap the gear icon > select the ROM package and wait for installation.
- After installing the update, Restart your phone and enjoy Android 15 Beta 1.
So this is how to easily install Android 15 beta 2 on OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open. You can follow this method for other OnePlus phone once there ROM packages are available. In case you want to rollback to a stable build, you can download Rollback file, and follow the same process as upgrade.
