While attention turns toward iOS 27 and the next generation of Apple software announced at WWDC, Apple continues to push updates for its current platforms. The company has today released the second beta of watchOS 26.6, the gradual upgrade comes three weeks after the first beta. We can’t expect major changes or features in this release; instead, it will further enhance the overall experience.
Apple is sowing the second developer beta of watchOS 26.6 to eligible watch models with 23U5040d build number. If your Apple Watch is running on the first beta of watchOS 26.6, the incremental release weighs around 440MB in download size. For compatibility, the update is available for all Apple Watch models running watchOS 26 or newer. At the time of writing, the update is available to developers, and a public rollout is expected in a day or two.
As always, Apple didn’t mention any new changes in the release notes. We can expect performance enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates coming with watchOS 26.6.
