Samsung is not only working on One UI 7 but also giving a makeover to its stock apps and enhancing them to complement the upcoming update. After updating several apps, Samsung has now released a new version of Smart Switch app. Although the latest update doesnโ€™t add new features, it refreshes the UI and icon of the Smart Switch app.

The latest Smart Switch app update fixes multiple bugs

The latest update for the Galaxy Smart Switch app bumps the build version to 3.7.61.16. As per the changelog spotted in the appโ€™s listing page on the Play Store and Galaxy Store, the update has fixed multiple bugs reported in the previous version. Besides, the update has added various improvements to app stability, ensuring a smooth user experience.

More importantly, the latest update has added a fresh look to the Smart Switch app icon, spotted by Tarun Vats. The new app icon looks better than the previous one. Now, the upper half of the letter โ€œSโ€ flaunts a light blue color as opposed to the dark blue in the earlier design. The background of the Smart Switch app icon now uses a dark shade of blue, which looks pretty neat.

The new update has also revamped the UI of the Smart Switch app. Now, youโ€™ll be greeted with two new options as soon as you open the app. Those options are: โ€œSend from this phoneโ€ and โ€œReceive on this phone,โ€ which look cleaner.

Not to mention, the UI is pretty straightforward now, making it easily understandable for those trying the app for the first app to share files or any important data. We expect Samsung will treat its other apps similarly down the line. If anything comes up, weโ€™ll cover it to keep you updated.

All these quick updates to apps suggest that the One UI 7 release is imminent. The update could be released anytime soon for the Galaxy S24 series. Currently, the latest Android 15-based custom UI is available in beta for the Galaxy S24 lineup and through the Remote Test Lab on the Galaxy S24 FE.
