New leaks about Samsung’s upcoming wearables have just surfaced. The leaks refer to the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9. Both smartwatches will be running on Samsung’s upcoming One UI 9, based on the new Wear OS 7. The leaks reveal that the Watch 9 and Ultra Watch 2 will come with new colors, band designs, features, and new watch faces.
While Samsung has always released a Watch Classic, they will be skipping the Classic model for this generation. Design-wise, the Watch Ultra 2, the flagship smartwatch from Samsung, will now come with thinner bezels and a more boxy design when compared to the previous generation of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The side buttons area will be improved, and the orange button will now have an orange outline instead of a fully orange-colored button. The Ultra 2 will come with an 800mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 9 will also take a similar shape and styling to that of the Ultra Watch 1 and will be powered by a 400mAh battery. Color-wise, both watches will be available in black, beige, and silver with two band options: green and a blush-colored one.
The redesigned Samsung Health app will make its debut on both these watches and a brand-new watch picker screen for those who want their watch screen to look unique. The app icons will feature the new 3D-styled icons.
The Galaxy Watch 9 and the Watch Ultra 2 will be revealed during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for the 22nd of July, taking place in London. Alongside these smartwatches, we should also be seeing the new Galaxy Fold and Flip smartphones. Prices for the watches are yet to be revealed.
