There are several reasons you might want to roll back to One UI 6—perhaps bugs are affecting your experience, or you only wanted to try the beta for short duration. In any case, you can easily withdraw from the One UI 7 beta and roll back to the stable One UI 6 without losing your data.

To downgrade your Galaxy phone from One UI 7 beta to stable One UI 6, you need to follow a two-step process. First, you need to withdraw from the One UI 7 beta program and then restore stable One UI 6 from Smart Switch. It’s not mandatory to withdraw, but you will keep getting beta update.

Note: Once you withdraw from One UI 7 beta, you will not be able to join One UI 7 beta again. But stable One UI 7 will be released within two months, so you won’t have to wait too long.

  1. Open Samsung Member app. If you have opted for the beta, you will see the One UI Beta welcome screen.
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon at the top right corner and open “One UI Beta program status.”
