Samsung is doing pretty well with the One UI 8.5 rollout, and the company is now set to expand the update to five more old phones. Canadian carrier Telus has revealed the rollout timeline along with the full list of devices set to receive the update. Needless to say, the update will bring a host of new features and changes.
Moving to the list of phones that are going to receive the update, Telus has confirmed that the Galaxy A15, Galaxy A54, Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, Galaxy Tab A11+, and Tab S9 FE will receive the update starting June 9. The carrier didn’t mention the exact version details; instead, they referred to optimizations and security updates. They typically refer to incremental One UI updates as “optimizations and security updates.”

Today, Samsung has kick-started the rollout of its newest skin for Galaxy A15 and XCover 7 Pro in mainland South Korea, and the rollout will expand to Canada tomorrow. The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to May 2026, which addresses a bunch of security-related issues.
One UI 8.5 is one of the most anticipated updates, as it brings a host of new features and improvements. It also introduces some Galaxy S26 AI features for older Galaxy devices. If you’re wondering what’s new, it brings a redesigned interface, new and improved Galaxy AI, improved Camera, more customization options, and more.
Now, if you reside in Canada and own any of the above-mentioned five devices, you can check for the One UI 8.5 update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Before installing the new update, always back up important data and ensure to install the update in a cool temperature.
If the One UI 8.5 update hasn’t arrived on your device, you’ll need to wait for its OTA update, as it is rolling out in batches.
