The One UI 8.5 update is now making its way to older budget and entry-level Galaxy devices. The Samsung Galaxy A16 is the latest phone to receive the stable One UI 8.5 update, following the recent rollout to the Galaxy A17 and Galaxy A26.
As reported by tipster Tarun Vats, the One UI 8.5 update has recently been spotted rolling out in India with build number DZE2. As usual, Samsung is expected to gradually expand the rollout to other regions where the Galaxy A16 is available. Although this is a mid-cycle update, it is quite big, with a download size of over 2GB. So, it’s recommended to download the update over WiFi.
One UI 8.5 is a highly anticipated update, bringing a variety of new features, visual refinements, and performance improvements. However, since the Galaxy A16 is an entry-level device, some of the more advanced One UI 8.5 features may not be available on this device.
With the One UI 8.5 update, you can expect improved user interface, updated stock apps, more customization options, new AI-powered features, improved Camera UI with new options, and more.
As mentioned, the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A16 is currently available in India. It may also be rolling out in other regions soon. If you have a Galaxy A16, you can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If the OTA update hasn’t arrived yet, it will be available soon. Before installing the update, make sure to backup important data.
