Samsung Galaxy S21 starts getting One UI 4.1 update in Canada

Samsung Galaxy S21 series picked up the Android 12 update last November. The update was based on One UI 4.0, now there’s news in the center, that device has started getting One UI 4.1 update in Canada. One UI 4.1 is the latest custom skin by Samsung, debuted with the newly landed Galaxy S22 lineup. The new software bumps up the monthly security patch version to March 2022, tags along with a bunch of new features, and brings more stability across the system. Samsung pushes One UI 4.1 with the G99xWVLU5CVBA software version on the Galaxy S21 series. At the moment, the update is available on Rogers and Sasktel networks in Canada, will join more networks and unlock variants in the coming days. The new firmware is rolling in a staged manner will join your smartphone very soon. It is a big upgrade, so I suggest you connect to a stable WiFi network.

Moving to the features list, then One UI 4.1 is seeding with Google Duo live sharing feature, new image editing features including reflection and shadow eraser, share multiple files simultaneously using Quick Share feature, Grammarly integration to Samsung keyboard, and more features. For now, the changelog of the new update is not available to us, but you can expect more coming with this OTA.

If you are a Galaxy S21 user in Canada then you will receive the OTA update soon if you haven’t already. As usual, it is a staged rollout. In case the OTA update notification doesn’t work then you can manually check for the update from Settings > Software Update.

If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija toolSamsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
