Samsung Galaxy S21 Android 12 Stable (One UI 4.0) update is out

Android 12 was officially released by Google in October for eligible Pixel phones. And after multiple rounds of beta testing, Samsung also starts rolling out the Android 12 based stable One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy S21 series. The Galaxy S21 series is the first non-pixel phone series to get a stable Android 12 update. Here you will know what’s new in the Galaxy S21 Android 12 update.

The Android 12 update is available for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in South Korea and Europe. Soon the update will be available in other regions. About a few days back, Samsung posted on their forum that they are not releasing One UI 4.0 Beta 5 for the series as the Stable update is on the way. And as they promised, the stable Android 12 for Galaxy S21 series is here. The last and fourth beta was released about two weeks ago.

Thanks to Material You Design, Android 12 is one of the biggest updates in many years in terms of UI changes. Fortunately, Samsung has adopted the same design language on One UI 4.0. And if you have any Galaxy S21 phone, you can finally experience Android 12 without opting for beta.

The stable One UI 4.0 update on Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra brings the latest customization and privacy features. Samsung already officially revealed One UI 4.0 at their recent event where they mentioned all the main features of One UI 4.0. And so you might be already aware of new features that come with the One UI 4.0 update.

Talking about customization, you will get new widgets, icons, menu, buttons, notification panel, and more. The update also comes with a new set of Emojis, GIFs, and Stickers that you can directly access from your Keyboard. As you know Security feature is a common feature that gets updated with every major update. And One UI 4.0 also strengthens the privacy security on Galaxy S21 series. You can control and see if any app is using any sensitive service on your phone like Microphone, camera, location, etc.

The One UI 4.0 also brings an extended ecosystem that will let you sync the look and feel across Samsung devices. In the announcement, Samsung also mentioned that the One UI 4.0 update will be available on the previous Galaxy S and Note series as well as Galaxy Z series, A series, and tablets.

As usual, the update will be available in batches. If you have a Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or Galaxy S21 Ultra, then you will get the update soon if you haven’t received it already. The Galaxy S21 One UI 4.0 update will be available as an OTA update. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > Software Update. Luckily Android 12 firmware is also available, so you can also manually update your Galaxy S21 to Android 12 using the latest firmware.
