[Update: India] Samsung announces One UI 5 beta program for Galaxy S21 Series

Samsung kicks off the Android 13 based One UI 5 beta program for Galaxy S21 series. The beta testing program for the S21 lineup goes live three weeks after the Galaxy S22 beta program announcement. For the time being, the new update is available in South Korea, it will be released for other regions in the coming days. Read along to know more about Samsung Galaxy S21 One UI 5 beta program.

The beta access is available for the last year’s flagship – Galaxy S21. So, if you own the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or Galaxy S21 Ultra and live in South Korea, then you can take a part in the beta testing program. Android 13 based One UI 5 is the second major software upgrade for the Galaxy S21. As it is a big update, it will require a big chunk of data for downloading the software, you can connect your phone to a stable Wi-Fi network for faster downloading.

As I mentioned earlier, the program is live in Samsung’s mainland South Korea and the community manager on the Samsung community forum officially confirmed the rollout information. And some users had already installed the new software on their S21. Here’s a screenshot shared by a Galaxy S21 owner.

Speaking about the features, then One UI 5.0 is equipped with a flurry of new features that includes  more dynamic color palette options in themes, the ability to stack widgets on the home screen, notifications permissions for apps, the ability to set language per app, the option to edit lock screen wallpaper gallery, new camera app features, improvements, and more. 14 September: Testing begins in India

A few days ago, Samsung expanded the beta program to the UK, and now is the time for India. Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra users can now join the One UI beta program to try out the latest version of Android 13 based One UI 5.0. The registration banner is live on the Samsung Members app in India and the UK, you can tap on it and fill in your details.
