Samsung has finally released the One UI 5.0 beta program for Galaxy S22 series in multiple regions. As we earlier predicted the Android 13 based One UI 5 goes live a few days before the Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has improved the One UI a lot since its release. One UI 5.0 is based on the latest Android 13 OS. Android 13 for Pixel is already in the last phase of beta testing. So if you are a Samsung user or planning to get a Samsung phone, here is everything about the One UI 5.0 release date, eligible phones, expected features, and more.

Samsung brought One UI in 2019 and since then every year we get to see better and improved versions of One UI. The latest One UI version is 4.0 which is based on Android 12 and was released last year. And now as Android 13 nears launch, Samsung has begun the One UI 5.0 beta testing in many regions.

One UI is undoubtedly one of the best custom OS for smartphones. Talking about adaptation, other brands like OnePlus, Oppo, and Xiaomi failed to include the Android 12 theme system, while Samsung managed to include it on One UI 4.0. And the upcoming One UI 5.0 is also said to be a good upgrade. So let’s find out more about the One UI 5.0 release date, expected features, and supported phones.

One UI 5.0 Release Date

There was a delay last year in terms of OS release for every phone because of the pandemic, fewer resources, and other reasons. Android 12 for Pixel was also released a bit late followed by other custom OS including One UI 4.0 (Stable build) which was released in November. But this year Google is right on time with the Android 13 release timeline, which means Samsung will bring out the new One UI 5.0 even earlier than last year.

Samsung finally announced the One UI 5.0 beta on August 5. It was expected to be available in July, but there was a short delay. And finally, the Android 13 based One UI 5.0 is here for the Galaxy S22 series users. It will probably be available only for the Galaxy S22 series for the next one or two months.

Android 13 easter egg

Coming to the stable One UI 5.0 release, it is expected to be available sooner than last year. Google will release Android 13 in early September and about a month later, Samsung could release Android 13 based One UI 5.0 to the public starting with the Galaxy S22. To be specific, the stable One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S22 series is expected to be released in October. And later it will be released for other eligible phones as well.

So this was all about the One UI 5.0 release date. Now let’s talk about new features and changes coming with One UI 5.0.
