Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first-ever foldable iPhone this year, which could be branded as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra. Leaks surrounding the device have started gaining momentum, and the fresh leak brings our first look at the device’s first possible color choice.
According to reports, the foldable iPhone is expected to arrive in two color variants. A leaker recently shared an image that allegedly showcases one of these finishes, giving us an early glimpse at what Apple’s foldable could look like.
A prominent leaker, Ice Universe, has posted a low-res photo of Apple’s foldable in white color on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. However, the translated text accompanying the image suggests that it is merely a prototype of the device. That said, we can believe that it is simply a dummy model.
A fellow leaker, Instant Digital on Weibo, has said white is one of the two colors that the iPhone foldable will be available in. Another report suggests that Apple has been working on a classic silver/white finish, alongside an Indigo variant said to resemble the Deep Blue shade of the iPhone 17 Pro. If accurate, these could be the two launch colors for Apple’s first foldable device.
According to the rumors, the inner display of the iPhone Fold is set at 7.6-7.8 inches, whereas the outer display will measure 5.3-5.5 inches. Apple is ensuring that its displays on the foldable stay free from creases even after a long period of time. It will be interesting to see what Apple uses and also what they plan to call this new display of theirs.
We have already seen the CAD images of the iPhone Fold, and the device is reportedly coming with a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Either it’s the outer screen or the inner screen, both will feature a front-facing camera.
