Summarize This Article:

Samsung is expanding the stable One UI 8.5 rollout to three more budget and mid-range Galaxy devices. The Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy M36 are now receiving the One UI 8.5 update. Earlier, we shared that some older Galaxy devices launched in 2022 may not be eligible for the update. Fortunately, the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 were launched in 2023 and are still eligible for another major Android OS upgrade.

The One UI 8.5 update for all three devices is currently rolling out in Korea. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy M36 is available as Galaxy Jump 4 in Korea. As usual, Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to other regions over the next few days.

The Galaxy A54 is receiving the One UI 8.5 update with build number FZE2, while the Galaxy A34 is getting build number FZE6. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M36 is receiving One UI 8.5 with build version CZE3.

Although One UI 8.5 is a mid-cycle update, it’s quite big as it brings major improvements and several new features. So, regardless of the device you have, the update size will be over 2GB or even over 4GB. Therefore, it’s recommended to download the update over WiFi.

Talking about new features, the One UI 8.5 update brings visual improvements, smoother animations, updated stock apps, and new and updated Galaxy AI features if your device is eligible. The availability of these features may vary depending on the model and region.

If you own a Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, or Galaxy M35, the update will be available as an OTA update if it hasn’t already. You can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Make sure to back up your data before installing the update.
