There are a few reasons why Samsung delayed One UI 7 until 2025. One of them is that it is going to be one of the biggest One UI updates and recent One UI 7 leaks hint the same thing. The latest One UI 7 leaks revealed some of its features which contain some great news for Galaxy phone users.
Following Samsung’s SDC 2024 event, we got to see a few videos, which gave only partial glimpses of One UI 7’s features. But now we have some full fledged features of One UI 7, courtesy of Android Headlines.
As expected, there are many new stock app icons that look good and easy to recognize even without labels. Apart from the refined app icons, One UI 7 will also feature smart notification management and live notifications in the lock screen, which is slightly similar to the dynamic island activities but is at the bottom making it easily accessible with one hand.
One UI 7 will also upgrade Circle to Search with the options to help users with math, history, and physics problems. You can use it without switching apps. The feature is called Homework Help with Circle to Search. Google officially announced this feature at the Google I/O 2024 event in May.
New Parental Controls in One UI 7 focus on keeping kids safe on the internet. Parents can choose what apps and sites their kids can access. They can also track kids’ whereabouts by tracking their phone’s location without using any third-party apps.
One UI 7 will bring more features to the Photos app, such as live effects to add depth to photos, restyle portrait photos, and AI-generated effects to make your photos stand out.
The Sketch to Image feature that was introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also get more options with the major One UI 7 update. Also, you can expect the feature to generate better images after the update.
These are some of the One UI 7 features that have been leaked. If you are waiting for the One UI 7 update, it is coming to beta by the end of this year, and the stable One UI 7 will start rolling out after the Galaxy S25 release.
