One UI 6.1.1 hits Galaxy S22, Tab S8, Flip 4 and Fold 4

Samsung began the One UI 6.1.1 update rollout for older models two weeks ago, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. The South Korean tech giant later rolled out the update for the Galaxy S23, Tab S9, and fifth-generation foldables. Today, the company has released the latest update for even more Galaxy devices.

One UI 6.1.1 is now rolling out to the Galaxy S22 lineup, Tab S8 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. As usual, the update is rolling out first in South Korea. And it should expand to other regions soon.

The Galaxy S22 series is getting the latest update with build number S90xNKSU5EXH7, which weighs over 2.8GB. The update is available for Galaxy Z Fold 4 with build number F936NKSU4GXH7 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 with build F721NKSU4GXH7. With this update, the Android Security Patch also jumps to September 2024 for these models.

Coming to the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, the update is available with build version X700XXU8CXHB for the Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ with X800XXU8CXHB, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with X900XXU8CXHB.

Unlike other models, the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup didn’t receive the September security patch. The update comes with the August 2024 security patch. The update size is around the same as Galaxy S22 series.

As you might already know One UI 6.1.1 is a big update with lots of new features and changes, which are also available for these devices as well. Some of the well known features include Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, Live translate for third party apps, live effect for photos, Composer, and many more. You can check all the features here.

If you have an eligible device, you will get the OTA update. Since the update is released in phases, it can take more time for more users. You can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Make sure to backup your data before installing the update.
