Samsung releases One UI 6.1.1 update for Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung has started pushing the One UI 6.1.1 update for Galaxy S23 Series including the Fan Edition model. Yesterday, we reported that these devices were expected to receive the update on September 17 in Canada. The company has now officially started the rollout in mainland Korea.

Update on September 16 – One UI 6.1.1 for Galaxy S23 is also rolling out in India.

One UI 6.1.1 update is rolling out to Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra with the S91xNKSU4CXH7 firmware version. If you are a Galaxy S23 FE user, then you will receive the update with the S711NKSU3BXH7 software version. It is a big upgrade and weighs around 2.5GB in size.

The update is rolling out with a September 2024 monthly security patch along with a big list of new features. One UI 6.1.1 boasts several Galaxy AI features including Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, voice-recorded integration to Samsung Notes, and more. For photography, the update brings support for ExpertRAWโ€™s AstroPortrait feature, Instant Slo-Mo for HDR10+ videos, Live Effects, Motion Clipper, and more.

If you reside in the Republic of South Korea and own one of the Galaxy S23 series smartphone, then you can now update your phone to the newest version by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
