Nokia 2.4 starts receiving stable Android 11 Update

Nokia is another OEM that impressed everyone with the regular major updates. In the past couple of months, Nokia rolled out Android 11 to many of its devices. The last Nokia phone to receive Android 11 is Nokia 2.2. And now Nokia is rolling out the latest Android 11 for Nokia 2.4. Here you will know about Nokia 2.4 Android 11 Wave 1 rollout.

Android 11 is now available for quite a while now. Nokia started rolling out the update very late, but now they are picking up the pace. And Nokia 2.4 is now also getting the stable Android 11 update. Nokia released the official Android 11 roadmap a while ago, but there is no specific month for the release. But looking at the quarter map, the update is right on time.

Nokia 2.4 is a budget phone which was released last year in September with Android 10 out of the box. And this will be its first major update and a great experience for Nokia 2.4 users. Generally, Nokia delivers at least two updates to its devices and so Nokia 2.4 users may get to experience Android 12 which is already available as a developer preview for pixel phones.

Nokia officially announced the Nokia 2.4 Android 11 update on Twitter. The Wave 1 for Nokia 2.4 Android 11 is now out. If you are not familiar, Nokia releases updates in many Waves. The first wave always includes the major regions. But as of now, we don’t have the list of regions included in the first wave, but we will update the news article once it is available.

If you have a Nokia 2.4 phone, then you may have already received the update (only for Wave 1 regions). But if not then you will get the update on your phone probably by next week. Sometimes users don’t receive Android updates via notification. So, in that case, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > Software Update.

Now coming to the new features, you can expect most of the stock Android 11 features. It is because Nokia phones come with Stock UI. Obviously, some features depend on hardware functionality. But you will get to experience most of the features such as chat bubbles, a new Notification panel with history, an improvised power menu with smart controls, enhanced privacy settings, and more.
