Earlier this week, we reported that the Motorola Razr+ 2023 would receive the Android 15 update in North America later this month. Its global variant has now started receiving the update. In some regions, such as India, the device is known as the Razr 40 Ultra, which is now getting the stable Android 15 update.
Guess what? The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is receiving the Android 15 update even before the Razr 50 Ultra, which was released just last year. Let’s hope Motorola doesnโt repeat the same mistake as last year, when Razr+ 2023 users had to wait more than eight months for the update, despite it being the companyโs latest flagship device
As per the screenshot shared by a Reddit user, the Android 15 update for the Razr 40 Ultra is available with build number V1TZ35H.41-21-3 and weighs 1.96GB. This is the second but not the last major update for the device.

Although there arenโt many changes listed on the main update page (as screenshot), you can expect many changes and features such as new lock screen customization features, updated quick panel, private space, control video recording view, clone apps, Gen AI emojis, new emoji stickers, improved connections, and more.
As usual, the update is rolling out in batches. If you have a Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and havenโt received the update, make sure to check it regularly in Settings. It can take a few days for the OTA update, depending on your region.
