Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and Fusion get stable Android 15, but nothing exciting

Motorola has started rolling out the stable Android 15 update for Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion. Other models in the Edge 50 lineup may also be receiving the update, but so far, users have only confirmed these two devices.

Motorola began the Android 15 beta testing on these phones in October. And after two months of testing, they have finally released the stable Android 15 update. However, the update shouldn’t have taken this long, given it doesn’t bring anything major. There is nothing major in the update to be excited for.

An X user, @singhalritik111, allegedly received the stable Android 15 update on their Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. According to the shared screenshot, the update carries the build number V1UUI35H.15-15-4 and weighs 1.92GB. Make sure to download it over WiFi.

I have a Motorola Edge 50 Fusion but haven’t received the stable Android 15 yet. It’s just started rolling out so it might take a few days to roll out in batches. Or it might be rolling out to beta users first.

Another user on Reddit claims to have received the stable Android 15 update on their Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The user confirmed it’s the stable build, as they have not opted for MFN or Beta.

Unfortunately the screenshot does not show the build number and update size. However, it does reveals a new feature, Overheat Protection, which comes with the Android 15 update.

The update changelog for both the phones is the same and it isn’t big enough to talk about. But here is the changelog that comes with the update nonetheless.

Android 15 release Smarter, faster, and more secure

  • Enjoy smoother graphics
  • Faster app performance
  • Screen recording notifications
  • Easily switch between languages

The update is being rolled out in batches for both phones and it might take a couple of weeks to be fully rolled out. So if you haven’t received the update yet, you will soon. And if you’ve already got the update, let us know in the comments.

Since this is a major update, even if it doesn’t bring any major changes, you should backup your device before installing the update. Also wait for user reviews and then install the update.
