The fifth big update to iOS 18, the iOS 18.5 is now available to the Public. The iOS 18.5 update is compatible with all iOS 18-eligible models, including the iPhone Xr and newer models.
Apple also released other updates including iPadOS 18.5, watchOS 11.5, tvOS 18.5, macOS Sequoia 15.5, macOS Sonoma 14.7.6, macOS Ventura 13.7.6, and visionOS 2.5, along with the iOS 18.5.

Note: The update details on the above screenshot are different as I am switching from an older build.
The iOS 18.5 update comes with build number 22F76, which is different than the release candidate build released last week. If you donโt know, most of the times the RC builds are the same as public builds, unlike the iOS 18.5. The update size varies depending on your device and the current build.
Apple will soon begin iOS 19 developer beta testing, and so their primary focus has shifted towards iOS 19. Hence, the iOS 18.5 update doesnโt include big changes. However, it still brings some new things, like the new Pride wallpapers, carrier-provided satellite function on iPhone 13, and more. You can check out the official changelog below.
Everything New in iOS 18.5
This update also includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:
- A new Pride Harmony wallpaper
- Parents now receive a notification when the Screen Time passcode is used on a childโs device
- Buy with iPhone is available when purchasing content within the Apple TV app on a 3rd party device
- Fixes an issue where the Apple Vision Pro app may display a black screen
- Support for carrier-provided satellite features is available on iPhone 13 (all models).
If you own an eligible iPhone, youโll receive the iOS 18.5 update right away. To check for the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Since the build number is different than release candidate, those who have installed release candidate can turn off beta to receive the latest iOS 18.5 update.
Before installing the update, make sure to back up important data.
