How to Customize Dynamic Island on iPhone

Dynamic Island is one of the most unique and useful features of iPhone. The Dynamic Island can be found on iPhone 14 Pro and newer models, except the recently launched iPhone 16e. Apple introduced a whole new way to customize your iPhone with iOS 18.

What about the Dynamic Island? Can I customize or play with Dynamic Island?

There’s no such option available in the settings. However, there are several third-party apps you can use to customize Dynamic Island on your iPhone.

If you love customizing your iPhone, you should also customize the Dynamic Island. Here’s a step by step guide on personalizing the iPhone’s pill-shaped notch.

In this tutorial, I will use two third-party apps to personalize the Dynamic Island. You can use both at the same time, one will bring little animations and games, whereas the second app adds shortcuts to apps, shortcuts, and utility tools.

The first app I am using to customize is Pixel Pals. The app allows you to place adorable pets in the Dynamic Island. There are 19 pets available to choose from, though only two are available for free. You can also activate live activities to keep an eye on your pet.

Apart from that, you can add interactive gaming widgets to your iPhone’s home screen, and moving widgets to the lock screen.

The second app I am using to add more details to the Dynamic Island is called Lock Launcher. It is a free app with in-app purchases for some features.

You can place two activities on the Dynamic Island, one can be placed on the right, while the other on the left. You can choose from various live activities, including upload and download speed, frame rates, CPU usage, current weather, Date & Time, Health Data, and more.

Additionally, you can customize the text color, size, enable PiP, Lock screen options, and more. You can touch and hold the Dynamic Island and launch a small dock with your favorite apps. This dock also appears on the lock screen, yes, you can launch your favorite app from the lock screen.
