Apple has finally released the iOS 18.3 update to the public after three beta updates and a release candidate build. The new update arrived on time, as expected. It includes new AI features and some regular features for eligible iPhone models.
Talking about eligibility, iPhone Xr and newer models are eligible for the update. Recently, Apple revealed the adoption rate of iOS 18, and it is expected to rise with the third major iOS 18 update.
Apple also seeded updates for other devices, including iPadOS 18.3, watchOS 11.3, tvOS 18.3, macOS Sequoia 15.3, iPadOS 17.7.4, and visionOS 2.3, alongside the iOS 18.3 update.
The iOS 18.3 update comes with build number 22D63, which is different than the release candidate build number. Consequently, there might be minor changes in the public build, but everything else must remain the same.

The third big update in the iOS 18 lineup brings even more AI features. However, devices that are not eligible for AI features will have fewer features to explore compared to those that are. You can check the new features from the changelog below.
Visual intelligence with Camera Control (All iPhone 16 models)
- Add an event to Calendar from a poster or flyer
- Easily identify plants and animals
Notification summaries (All iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max)

- Updated style for summarized notifications better distinguishes them from other notifications by using italicized text as well as the glyph

This update includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

It’s advisable to take a backup before installing the update and ensure your phone is charged to at least 50%.
