After releasing two major iOS 18 updates, Apple has started testing third iOS update, iOS 18.3 last month. The first beta of iOS 18.3 was released mid-December, just a week before the holiday season. If you’re eagerly waiting for the next big update, here’s when iOS 18.3 is expected to be released to the Public.

iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.2 primarily focused on AI features, and iOS 18.3 is also expected to bring additional AI features. However, the first beta was relatively minor, with no major or exciting changes. That said, upcoming beta builds may introduce new AI features. The second beta could be released as early as next week.

Apple doesn’t officially announce the release dates of incremental updates, but they usually follow a consistent schedule for updates. By comparing with last year’s timeline, we can get an idea of when they might release iOS 18.3 to the public.

If we compare it to last year’s iOS 17.3, there might be only three beta builds, out of which one beta is already out. And the two remaining beta updates will be released in the next two weeks, followed by the RC and then finally the iOS 18.3 update.

This means that iOS 18.3 will be released in the last week of January 2025. This is an educated guess, meaning Apple could follow a different schedule and bring another beta or any other change. But according to the current timeline, all indications suggest a release in the last week of the month.

If you want to try out iOS 18.3 before the official release, you can join the beta program. But if you’re not tech-savvy, joining the beta may not be worth it.

As mentioned earlier, there are not many changes in iOS 18.3 beta 1. The main change includes robot vacuum support in the Home app. Other changes include some minor tweaks. Apple may not have made many changes due to the holidays, so the second beta may be bigger than the first beta.
