How to Connect Insignia Soundbar to TV

You can easily connect the Insignia soundbar, which has Bluetooth functionality, to the TV wirelessly. Here’s how you can do this:

1. Power on your Insignia soundbar.
2. Switch the soundbar to Bluetooth mode.
3. On your TV, navigate to Settings, then go to the Bluetooth setting.
4. Tap on Add Bluetooth devices, search for the soundbar, and pair it with the TV.

How to Connect Insignia Soundbar to TV [Via HDMI ARC]

If you have an HDMI ARC port available on the TV, this method can be used perfectly to get the audio output to your soundbar. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Plug one end of the cable into the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other into the HDMI ARC input on the Insignia soundbar.
2. On TV, navigate to Settings, then audio settings. Look for either Audio Output or TV Speakers option.
3. Change the settings to Receiver or External Speakers.
4. Press the Source or Input button on the Insignia soundbar or remote and navigate through the available inputs until you reach the HDMI input.

How to Connect Insignia Soundbar to TV [Via Optical Cable]

If your TV and Insignia soundbar have an Optical, Digital Audio, TOSLINK port, this method can be used to connect the soundbar to your TV. Follow the below-mentioned steps to connect them:

1. First of all, plug one end to the optical audio output on your TV and the other end to the optical audio input on your Insignia soundbar.

How to Connect and Control Insignia Soundbar With TV Remote

Most TVs nowadays have HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) functionality, which allows users to control their soundbar using the TV’s remote. To control the soundbar with the TV’s remote, the devices must be connected to an HDMI-ARC port. If it is, follow the below steps to complete the setup.

1. Navigate to Settings > Display & Sounds.
2. Here, you will find a HDMI CEC option. Turn it on.

Note that, all TV brands have their own names for HDMI CEC. For example, SimpLink, Net Command, RIHD, EasyLink, HDAVI Control, Anynet+, BRAVIA Sync, CE-Link, Kuro Link, etc.

In addition to the above methods, you can also use analog audio connections like 3.5 mm or RCA to connect an Insignia soundbar to a TV, but this should be your last option since they provide lower audio quality compared to digital connections.

Also, analog audio connections do not support surround sound and are limited to stereo. However, if you have no other option left than using analog audio, you will need a 3.5 mm or RCA cable, depending on the ports available on the device, to connect both devices.
