If you’re a developer, you can freely update your Apple Watch to the latest beta. Apart from the watchOS 11.6 beta, you can also upgrade your watch to the second developer beta of watchOS 26, but keep in mind it is still in its very early testing phase and not suitable for regular use.

When it comes to changes, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the release notes. However, the upcoming software upgrade is expected to enhance the user experience on Apple Watch further.

First things first, you need to update your iPhone to iOS 18.6 second beta. Once done, you can follow these steps to install the watchOS 11.6 beta on your watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the second beta of watchOS 11.6.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11.6 second beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch.
