Apple has unveiled its upcoming iPhone OS release, iOS 26, which is now available in developer beta. Continuing the long-standing tradition, the new iOS 26 also brings some new wallpapers, which we have already shared recently.
You can download wallpapers of various iOS releases by searching on our website. However, you don’t need to do that anymore because today we’ve decided to combine these wallpapers into a single iOS Wallpapers collection, so that you can find them all in one place. iOS Wallpapers Collection
The first iOS (iPhoneOS) was released with the original iPhone in 2007. Since then, Apple never looked back and has continuously improved not only the operating system but also the default stock wallpapers. Since the display was not as big and advanced earlier, the wallpaper quality from older versions is also not great, but it’s not that they are unusable.
The latest iOS version, iOS 26, is a direct jump from iOS 18 and includes four new wallpapers. There are no specific number of wallpapers Apple includes in every iOS release, it’s random. Get ready to be amazed by some good old iOS wallpapers as well as new iOS wallpapers.

iPhoneOS 1 to iPhoneOS 3 Wallpapers
The first three iterations of iOS, aka iPhoneOS, had the same black wallpaper. It looked clean and minimal and was a signature wallpaper for every iPhone during its early days. You can download the original iOS wallpaper below.
iOS 4 and iOS 5 Wallpapers
These two iOS versions also share the same default iOS wallpaper featuring water droplets. It’s a popular wallpaper that’s still beloved even after almost 15 years. If you’re a fan of good old wallpapers, you can try these high quality iOS 4 and iOS 5 wallpapers.
iOS 6 Wallpapers
This version of iOS was released in 2020 and was the first version to feature a default wallpaper that was unique to it. iOS 6 wallpaper features gentle water ripples that give a soothing and calming vibe.
iOS 7 Wallpapers
Apple introduced a space-themed default wallpaper in the seventh iteration of iOS, iOS 7. It’s one of my favorite wallpapers that I’ve used for many home screen setups. iOS 8 Wallpapers
Ah, the night sky wallpaper from iOS 8, a wallpaper that you can’t forget once you see it. This default iOS wallpaper features a snowy mountain under a dazzling night sky. A perfect nature wallpaper by Apple.
iOS 9 Wallpapers
iOS 9 was released in 2015 with a default wallpaper. While it’s a decent wallpaper, it’s not Apple’s best work. After all, design choices are subjective, so you might prefer it over many other iOS wallpapers. Here is the preview.
iOS 10 Wallpapers
Another great wallpaper by Apple. The iOS 10 Wallpaper features an aerial view of ocean waves colliding. The use of both blue and green colors makes the wallpaper amazing. Do you like this wallpaper?
iOS 11 Wallpapers
It looks like a simple version of iOS 10 wallpapers. The iOS 11 wallpaper features a beach scene where ocean waves gently roll onto a beach. You can almost imagine yourself sitting on a chair, with the waves softly touching your feet.
iOS 12 Wallpapers
iOS 12 was released in 2018 with a new default wallpaper in a abstract theme. This iOS version featured a vibrant wallpaper containing cool red, blue and blends with motion blue effect. It looks modern.
iOS 13 Wallpapers
Apple began including different versions of the default wallpaper with iOS 13. Thirteenth iteration of iOS featured about six wallpapers. While the design of each wallpaper is same, they do come handy in different modes and setups due to significant color variation.
iOS 14 Wallpapers
The OS that brought major UI improvement also included an amazing abstract wallpaper like by most users. There are six wallpapers in iOS 14 with same design but different colors and shades.
iOS 15 Wallpapers
The iOS 15 includes two default wallpapers varying in light and dark mode. The wallpaper design is not so great. It includes some objects without any pattern, and the finishing touch is subtle blur effect that makes the wallpapers a bit better.
iOS 16 Wallpapers
This particular version brought so many new wallpapers, but the main default wallpaper is an abstract design featuring a unique shape and vibrant colors. iOS 16 wallpaper looks great in both home screen and lock screen.
iOS 17 Wallpapers
The seventeenth iteration of iOS came with 2 different versions of the default wallpapers. It’s wallpapers share similarities with a macOS wallpaper. It’s design is like a bold fluid wave making a smooth zigzag design.
iOS 18 Wallpapers
Apple continued the pattern of including different color versions of the default wallpaper on the iOS 18 as well. There are around eight wallpapers in iOS 18 varying by color and shades. The iOS 18 was released in 2024.
iOS 26 Wallpapers
Apple decided to make major changes in naming and instead of iOS 19, Apple calls it iOS 26. There are four different wallpapers in iOS 26. These are not the best works of Apple, they are still decent. Download the official wallpapers below.
