Apple releases first beta of watchOS 11.6 for developers

If you own the Apple Watch Series 6 or newer, you can freely upgrade your watch to the newest software upgrade. Apple is pushing the watchOS 11.6 first beta with 22U5054b build number. Installation requires a decent amount of data. Also, ensure your iPhone is running on iOS 18.6 beta.

When it comes to changes, Apple didn’t mention any changes in the release notes. However, the upcoming software upgrade is expected to enhance the user experience on Apple Watch further.

watchOS 11.6 beta 1 update

First things first, you need to update your iPhone to iOS 18.6 first beta. Once done, you can follow these steps to install the watchOS 11.6 beta on your watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the first beta of watchOS 11.6.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network.

Now the watchOS 11.6 first beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch.
