For the past few days, Vivo is working hard to push the Android 11 update to its smartphones. A number of Y-series phones have already received the Android 11 (Funtouch OS 11) update. Now the news breaks out that the company has also started pushing the stable Android 11 build to the more-affordable Vivo Y11. Here you can check everything about the Vivo Y11 Android 11 update.
The device was announced back in 2019 with Funtouch OS 9.1 based Android Pie 9.0 OS. Last year, it didn’t receive any update. But, now the Vivo Y11 users are allegedly receiving the latest Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 update on their smartphone.
According to the users, the latest patch knocks up the affordable Y-series phone with 6.8.25 version number and has 2.9GB of size for downloading. Although, a number of users on twitter, also reported Wi-Fi issues after upgrading their smartphone to the latest update. So, I suggest you wait for a few days, if there’s an issue, then we can expect Vivo will address it and push the more stable patch in the coming days.
You can download the update using both mobile network or Wi-Fi, I suggest you to use Wi-Fi connection for uninterrupted sideloading. The latest update comes with a bunch of new features, improvements, and bugs fixes.
Talking about the changes, then as for now, the changelog is not available to us. But we can expect the latest build is rolling with features like number of visual changes, customizable AOD, Multi-turbo mode 4.0, rounded icons, and a few other changes as well. The update will also bump up the monthly security patch level to the newer one. Other than that, you can use the basic features of Android 11.
Vivo Y11 Android 11 Update
Vivo Y11 users in India can now upgrade their phones to the newer Android 11 update. If you haven’t received the OTA yet, then, I recommend you to update your smartphone to the newer available update, if any pending. But if your smartphone is already running on the latest version then you can wait for a few days.
If you’re in a hurry then you can manually check the software updates. To check updates manually, simply go to Settings on your Vivo Y11. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.
Before updating your mobile, make sure to charge it to at least 50%, and also take a backup of important data which would be useful in the case of failure.
