Vivo rolls out Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 Update for Vivo Y19

Last month, Vivo kicked-off its newest skin – Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 update for a list of smartphones. The list contains models such as the Vivo S1, Vivo V15 Pro, Vivo V17, Vivo V19, Vivo V20 SE, Vivo X50, and also for the affordable Vivo Y12. Now news comes out that, Vivo has started rolling out the update for another Y-series smartphone – Vivo Y19. And here’s everything you need to know about Vivo Y19 Android 11 (Funtouch OS 11) update.

The latest patch on the Vivo Y19 is rolling out with 6.73.6 update version and weighs a whopping 3.2GB of download size. Though, till now, Vivo hasn’t officially shared any details about the rollout, but there are some users on social media, allegedly receiving the update on their Vivo Y19. A twitter user (@VChdhry) has shared the screenshot and claims Vivo starts rolling Funtouch OS 11 for Vivo Y19.

We can expect the newer update on Vivo Y19 is seeding with a bunch of new features, improvements, and bugs fixes. In terms of details, then the update carries features like a number of visual changes, customizable AOD, Multi-turbo mode 4.0, rounded icons, and a few other changes as well. The update will also bump up the monthly security patch level to the newer one. The new patch carries PD1934F_EX_A_1.70.12 software version. Other than that, you can use the basic features of Android 11 on the Vivo Y19.

Vivo Y19 users can now upgrade their smartphone to the Funtouch OS 11 update. At the moment, the update is under rolling phase, might take some time to reach every Vivo Y19. If you’re in a hurry and want to taste the features of Funtouch OS 11, then make sure to update your device to latest software version. Also, before updating your smartphone to the new update, make sure to take a backup of important data and also charge your device to at least 30%.

In case you’ve not received the OTA notification on your Vivo Y19, then I recommend you to check the updates manually in the system settings. To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Vivo Y19. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.

Before updating your smartphone to the newer update, make sure to charge your device to at least 40% and also take a backup of important data before sideloading the update.
