Vivo V40e and iQOO Z9s now receiving OriginOS 6 update

After releasing the Android 16-centric OriginOS 6 upgrade for Vivo V40 and V40 Pro. Now the company has extended the availability of its newest skin to the third member in the V40 series, dubbed Vivo V40e. Apart from that, Vivo’s spin-off iQOO is rolling out the OriginOS 6 update for iQOO Z9s. Read on to learn more details.

At the time of writing, the update is limited to users who participated in the trial program. Vivo is rolling out the Android 16 upgrade to the Vivo V40e with PD2406JF_EX_A_16.2.10.1.W20 build number. While the iQOO Z9s receives the OriginOS 6 update with PD2406F_EX_A_16.2.10.1.W30 firmware version. Needless to say, the update bags a slew of new features and changes.

At the moment, the update is available to select users. If you’re in a hurry, you can manually request the OriginOS 6 update via the trial program. Also, please ensure that your phone is running on the latest available software version. The public rollout is expected in the coming days.

In terms of features and changes, OriginOS 6 update for Vivo V60e is rolling out with a revamped user interface, smooth animations, AI lightning, redesigned media player, enhanced lock screen customization, and many other features. Since the update is based on Android 16, it also includes stock Android features. The update changelog is the same as mentioned on this page.

Whether you own the Vivo V40e or iQOO Z9s, you can now upgrade your device to OriginOS 6 based Android 16 update by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System updates > version Trial > Trial version > download and install.

Please take a backup of important data before updating your device to the latest update. Also, charge your phone to atleast 50% before installing the update.
