And now finally it comes to the affordable Xperia 10 II which is a mid range phone.

Sony launched the Xperia 10 II in 2020 with Android 10 OS. And last year the device received its first major update as Android 11. And now it’s time for the second major update i.e. Android 12. Since it is a mid range phone from Sony, we already knew it will take time to get the Android 12 update.

A Reddit user Fantasytky shared in the Reddit Xperia channel along with a legit screenshot. The stable Android 12 for Xperia 10 II comes with build number 59.2.A.0.422. Since it is a major update it weighs more around 900MB. As per his review, it seems with Android 12 the experience is even better. Everything is smooth compared to the Android 11 update. So this is a good update for those who are not liking the Android 11 update.

You can also update your Xperia 10 II to Android 12 immediately by flashing the correct firmware. You can get firmware from tools such as XperiFerm. Flashing firmware requires a flashing tool. We recommend following this method only if you are aware of the process as it can also brick your phone.

Before updating your Xperia 10 II to Android 12, make sure to backup all the data and charge it to at least 50%.
