Samsung releases Android 14 based One UI 6 beta for Galaxy Z Flip 5

Two days back, Samsung announced the Android 14 based One UI 6 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Today, the company has kicked off the beta for Galaxy Z Flip 5, adding to the list of phones that have received early access to the upcoming software.

In a surprising move, Samsung announced the beta program for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the US. It should be available in other regions as well as for unlocked models in a matter of time. The beta build labels with the F73U1EU1ZWJ2 firmware version. One UI 6 is a major upgrade, so it should require a big chunk of data for installation.

Moving to the features and changes, the One UI 6 packs with a slew of new features including the redesigned Quick Settings, more customization controls on the lock screen, new One UI Sans font, new emojis, a new media player, separate battery settings, and many more. You can check the complete list of new features coming with One UI 6.

If you own the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and want to try out the new features of One UI 6 on your smartphone, then you can take part in the beta program. However, please keep in mind that the initial beta release may have some issues, so we don’t recommend installing beta builds on your primary smartphone.

If you are in a haste and want to join the beta program, you need to install the Samsung Members app on your smartphone, once done, open the app and find the One UI 6 beta banner and tap on it.

If not available you can check for Notices section (bell icon). There you will see the One UI 6 Beta banner. Tap on it and follow instructions. After that you can check for the update in Settings > Software Update.
