At the time of writing, the rollout is live in several Asian countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines; it should be expanded to more regions in the coming days. Samsung plants the new software upgrade on the mid-range tablet with the P625XXU6CYJ5 software version.
Samsung refreshed the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2024, launched with the Android 14 operating system. The tablet already received One UI 7-based Android 15 update, and now it is all set to receive its second major OS upgrade, One UI 8-based Android 16 update. As it is a big update, it requires a big chunk of data for downloading.
One UI 8-based Android 16 update comes with a slew of new features and changes. The list of features includes the new Adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.
