Last month, Samsung kicked off the Android 17-based One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 series. The third beta has now arrived, two weeks after the second beta release, packing a fresh set of fixes and enhancements. The update goes live in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the USA.
For most countries, this marks the third beta; however, Indian users are receiving it as the second beta, as the program in India went live with the second beta release. Samsung is pushing the incremental update with the S948BXXU3ZZF7 build number. The update bumps up the monthly security patch version to June 2026.
Veteran Samsung analyst Tarun Vats has mentioned in a new post on X (formerly Twitter) that the update measures around 1.8GB in download size. The update brings improvements to Privacy Display-related errors when setting routines or using the Quick Panel on/off toggle.
Additionally, the update squashes a big list of bugs, including the cropped camera preview screen under certain conditions, widget information updating issues, home screen swipe left / right issues with S Pen, My Files app scrolling issues, rebooting issues during video streaming, and more. Here’s the complete list of changes.
- Improved errors related to the privacy display when setting routines or toggling the Quick Panel ON/OFF
- Fixed an issue where part of the camera preview screen was cropped under certain conditions
- Fixed an issue where widget information, such as weather and battery on the lock screen, was not updating correctly
- Improved focus accuracy when using 30x camera zoom
- Fixed an issue where the home screen would not swipe left or right when using the Pen
- Fixed an issue in the My Files app where the file list could not be scrolled to the end
- Fixed an issue where the background screen would intermittently turn white when receiving a call
- Fixed an issue where the device would reboot once during video streaming
- Fixed an issue where the background would appear black when pulling down the status bar
If you have a Galaxy S26 device and want to experience the next big One UI build before its public rollout, you can register for the One UI 9 Beta program. As usual, you can register from the Samsung Members app > Notice or Banner for Beta > Read all the details and simply tap the Register button.
If your phone is already on One UI 9 beta, you will receive the incremental update once available on your device. Don’t forget to back up your data before installing the beta version.
