Samsung Galaxy S25 set to get Galaxy S26 AI features soon

Summarize This Article:

It’s been over a month since the launch of the Galaxy S26, which introduced new features along with One UI 8.5. However, Samsung is taking longer than expected and has yet to roll out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series. That said, new official information brings some good news for Galaxy S25 users.

A Samsung moderator has confirmed that the company is preparing an update for the Galaxy S25 series that will bring some of the Galaxy S26 AI features. Credit goes to Tarun Vats for reporting this information.

According to the moderator’s post, the upcoming update will bring AI features like Call Screening and User-friendly enhancement improvements to Galaxy S25 devices. There could be additional AI features as well, but these two were specifically highlighted.

Here’s the full translated post from the moderator:

“Regarding the One UI 8.5 Update

We would like to thank all our customers for using Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

We are preparing a software update so that Galaxy users can experience even more advanced Galaxy AI features.

Through this update, various AI functions, such as call screening, and usability enhancements will be applied to major models, including the Galaxy S25 series.

This update is scheduled to be rolled out in conjunction with the One UI 8.5 release, and we will provide further details regarding the schedule and applicable models at a later date.”

Samsung is rumored to release Beta 9 and Beta 10 of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 before rolling out the stable version. However, it’s still unclear whether these new features will arrive with the upcoming beta builds or be reserved for the stable release.

While this is good news, it would be even better if Samsung releases the stable One UI 8.5 soon. The beta program started back in December, and it’s now been over three months. On top of that, One UI 8.5 has already been available on the Galaxy S26 since its launch more than a month ago. Those who are eagerly awaiting the stable release are understandably getting frustrated.
