Following last week’s announcement of OxygenOS 15, OnePlus has announced the open beta program for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R. You can finally test the more refined version of the company’s Android 15-based skin on your OnePlus 12 series smartphone.

OnePlus has officially shared all the details on its community forum. Although itโ€™s an open beta program, there are limited seats available for testers. If you’re in a haste and want to try out the new skin, then please make sure to apply as soon as possible. The open beta program’s recruitment begins today and will be open till November 5.

Another thing to keep in mind is, the OxygenOS 15 open beta program for OnePlus 12 and 12R is currently live for users in India. If you own a OnePlus 12, then ensure your phone is running on the CPH2573_14.0.0.850 (EX01) version number. OnePlus 12R users can take part in the beta program with any of these builds: CPH2585_14.0.0.832 (EX01) or CPH2585_14.0.0.833 (EX01).

If your phone is running on older version, you can update it to the newer software by navigating to the system updates. Once updated, you can join the open beta program, follow these steps to enroll in the program.

If you want to join the beta program, you can navigate to Go to Settings > Software Update > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Beta program > Release Candidate and follow the steps to apply. If your application got selected you will receive the OxygenOS 15 open beta via a special OTA update.

Keep in mind that you may encounter with some bugs or issues after installing the open beta, I recommend you not install the update on your primary device, if you still want to try it out, then make sure to take a backup of important data.
