Most smartphone OEMs like Samsung, OnePlus, and Sony are about to finish the Android 14 rollout. Nokia has started its Android 14 campaign and the first device to get access to the new update is Nokia G42 5G.
The device was spotted running on Android 14 a few days back on Geekbench and today the update goes live to the public globally. Nokia is pushing the new software upgrade with the V2.160 version number. At the moment, the update is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone soon.
Nokia G42 5G Android 14 update weighs around 2.68GB in size. Yes, it requires a big chunk of data for downloading. The update bumps up the monthly security patch version to December 2023 and also boasts a bunch of new features.

Moving to the features list, then Nokia is pushing the Android 14 software upgrade with features like a better way to track health data, more control over privacy, Monochrome themes, flash notifications, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, even bigger fonts, improved privacy and security, and many other features.
If you are a Nokia G42 5G user, then you can now upgrade your smartphone to Android 14. As I said earlier, the update is currently in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone soon. You will receive the OTA notification once the update is available on your device.
You can check for the update in Settings > About Phone > Software Update > check for the new updates. Once the update is available, create a backup and charge your phone to at least 50% before updating the device.
