In October last year, Google officially released the Android 14 update for Pixel phones. Later many smartphone brands including Samsung, Google, OnePlus, and Sony managed to update most of their phones to the new Android 14 update. But Motorola also seems to be active now after rolling out the Android 14 for its Moto G53.
When it comes to updating smartphones with major OS updates, Motorola’s track record is not great. Motorola released the first Android 13 upgrade in April, which was nine months after the official release for Pixel phones. However, the company later picked up the pace and released the update for most of the eligible phones (not all) in the next two to three months.
Moving to the Android 14 rollout plan, then Motorola now officially confirmed a list of phones that are eligible for the newest version of Android. No actual rollout dates shared yet, but, the company has confirmed the rollout for Moto G53.

Android 14 is a big upgrade, it comes with a bunch of amazing features, such as customizable lock screens, better support for Monochrome themes, battery life improvements, new accessibility tools, and more. Yes, lock screen customization options are available on Motorola’s Android 14 update.
Let’s take a look at the list of Motorola phones eligible for Android 14 update.

Goodbye Moto
Hello Samsung!
Am I eligible for and upgrade to Android 14 for Motorola G 2023
Regrettably my G100, still very powerful handy, not got update on Android 13, then I am on level 12. Its shame and poor support from Moto.
I just installed the Android 14 upgrade. Zero functionality changes. I was hoping to customize my lock screen. Either Motorola gave us the latest beta version or Motorola just doesn’t care about existing customers.
The only change was in settings under About Phone the Version # changed to 14.
it sad that the G72 wont get the update it is a good and powerful phone
Moto g82 5g keep getting update reminder to #14 but fails to instal.
Phone 2 years old.
Bit sad.
Goodbye Moto
