Motorola has released the stable Android 16 update for the Moto Edge 50 after four months of beta testing. For the time being, the update is in a rollout phase and available to limited users. Needless to say, it bags a flurry of new features and changes.
Motorola is pushing the Android 16 software upgrade to Edge 50 with W1UW36H.76-48 build number. Reddit user, luc4ss__27 has received the update and as per the details, the update weighs around 2GB in download size. Currently, the update is available in Europe and Latin American countries; a broader rollout should commence in the coming days.
Moto Edge 50 was launched with the Android 14 operating system. It received its first major software upgrade, the Android 15 upgrade, last year. Now the device is ready to receive its second big OS upgrade.
Talking about other features and changes, we can expect support for Android 16 features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
Moto Edge 50 users can finally upgrade their device to Android 16 update, all you need to do is navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and tap “Check for updates”. Please take a backup before updating your phone and charge it to at least 50%.
