Moto Edge 30 Neo starts receiving Android 14 update

Motorola is slowly expanding the Android 14 access to more phones, with the newest phone to receive the update being the Moto Edge 30 Neo. This makes it the second smartphone in the Edge 30 series to receive the update, following the Edge 30 Ultra. The update is rolling out with a bunch of new features and enhancements, read on to know all the details.

Motorola is pushing the new software to the mid-ranger with software U1SSM34.31-64-4 version number. Like the previous major upgrade, this one weighs around 1.64GB in download size. For the time being, the over-the-air build is seeding in Brazil, a wider rollout should commence in a matter of time.

The Edge 30 Neo was released with the Android 12 operating system, last year, the phone received its first major software upgrade in the form of an Android 13 update. Now is the time for the most probably the last and second OS upgrade, i.e., the Android 14 upgrade.

The update is already live to some users, hereโ€™s a screenshot of the changelog shared by a Reddit user (u/cateanddogew).

In terms of changes, the Android 14 update for Moto Edge 30 Neo comes with a flurry of useful features including lock screen customizations, monochrome themes with more color options, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, and even bigger fonts, improved privacy and security, and more.

If you reside in Brazil and own the Moto Edge 30 Neo, then you can now upgrade your phone to Android 14 by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for updates. However, the update is currently rolling out in a staged manner and will be available to everyone in the coming days, you can wait if the update is not visible on your device.

Make sure to take a backup before updating your phone. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% before updating the device.
