Motorola Edge 30 Ultra starts receiving Android 14 Update

When Android 14 was released in October, there was an initial concern that Motorola users might have to wait another year to experience the new update. However, to our surprise, Motorola has stepped up its update game and has already rolled out the stable Android 14 for a couple of eligible phones. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is also among the devices now receiving the stable Android 14 update.

Motorola initiated its Android 14 campaign with the Moto G53, followed by the Motorola Edge+ 2023 and the Motorola Edge 40 Pro joining the party. Now, the latest addition to receive the Android 14 update is the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

The Android 14 update for the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is reportedly rolling out in Brazil and certain regions of Europe. This update comes with the build number U1SQ34.52-21-1. And as you may have already expected it weighs in GB, 1.4GB to be specific. So make sure to use WiFi for downloading the update.

Now coming to the fun part which is the new features. The interest in experiencing Android 14 comes because we get a chance to try new things. The Android 14 on Motorola Edge 30 Ultra brings a bunch of new features like monochrome themes with more color options, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, and even bigger fonts, improved privacy and security, and more. There is also a fear among the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra community that the update may remove some features and some functions may not work as expected after updating to Android 14. MotorolaTom has acknowledged a problem with lock screen customization and reassured users that a fix is in the works and will be addressed in an upcoming software update. If you own Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in eligible regions, you will receive the OTA update soon if you haven’t already. You can check for the update manually in Settings. Since this is a batch rollout, it can take some time. But you can get it early through the Motorola’s RSA software for PC.

Before installing the update, make sure to backup important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
