LG G8s ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ received Android 10 based LG UX 9.0 Update in India

It’s now almost two months since the release of Android 11, but there are many smartphones which are still running on Android 9 or lower version. And many LG phones are also yet to receive Android 10. LG is slowly pushing updates for the remaining devices and LG G8s ThinQ & V40 ThinQ are the latest phones that are getting Android 10 updates in India.

Both LG G8s ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ are flagship phones from the last two years and it’s quite disappointing that these phones are getting their first and second major update so late in India. And this is one of the reasons that affect LG smartphone share in the market. But finally, LG G8s and V40 ThinQ users get to experience last year’s Android 10 update and LG UX 9.0 experience on their phones.

LG G8s ThinQ Android 10 Update

If we talk about the latest Android 10 update information which is rolling out for LG 8s ThinQ and V40 ThinQ users in India. Some users have already received the update. LG V40 ThinQ Android 10 update comes with build number QKQ1.191222.002. As it is a major update then you can expect the update size to be larger than the normal updates.

The update still doesn’t bring the latest Security patch instead it comes with last month’s September security patch. But it can be neglected as you get to experience many new Android 10 as well as LG UX 9.0 features.

Some of the main features include enhanced security settings, system wide dark mode, new navigation gesture, popup window, updated Google apps, and a lot more.

Also, you get to see many custom LG UX 9.0 features like new UI for one-hand operation, intuitive layout, battery optimization, and more.

This is a stable Android 10 update and rolling to all the users in India. But you may not receive the update instantly as the update is rolling out to users in batches. Although you can expect the rollout soon if not received already.

In case if you are curious and want to get the update immediately then you can manually install the update file or firmware. But as for now, the update file is not available so you have to wait a little longer.

Sometimes the update doesn’t come in the notification and so you should manually search for the update on your phone from Settings > Software Update section.

If you have LG G8s ThinQ and LG V40 ThinQ then stay tuned and enjoy the latest Android 10 update.
