Apple releases iOS 14 Beta 6 and iPadOS 14 Beta 6

The sixth beta of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 are out for developers. And soon we can expect the sixth beta release for the public as well. The latest beta comes in about 400MB at least for iPhone 11 and it can vary device to device. Last week we received the iOS 14 beta 5, and it was all about bug fixes and stabilization. If you like to try new beta features then here’s how to download and install iOS 14 Beta 6 and iPadOS 14 Beta 6.

It seems Apple has done a great job on optimizing the iOS 14 Beta 6 as many users including me have reported that it is smoother and you will notice it just after the upgrade. Although Apple doesn’t mention some new features in the update, but there are always some when we start exploring it. And who wouldn’t like to get something new that improves our experience.

iOS 14 Beta 6

All the iPhones and iPads with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 are eligible for the iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. But the beta 6 will be rolling out on devices with developer beta profiles installed on their phones or already running one of the iOS 14 Beta. Along with the iOS 14 Beta 6, and iPadOS 14 Beta 6 macOS Big Sur beta 6, tvOS 14 Beta 6, and watchOS 7 Beta 6 might also be rolling out.

iOS 14 Beta 6 and iPadOS 14 Beta 6 – Features

Let’s now discuss some of the changes and new appearance that may be the reason to upgrade your Apple Phone.

Resized News Widget: Last week Apple added big news widgets which we can’t really add to the home screen. And with the new Beta 6, the news widget size reduced a bit but you can easily notice it.

Maps Startup: Another noticeable change is in the Maps. Now when you open the Maps and it will show three new features which are Cycling Navigation, Curated Guides, Speed Cameras.

Changed Scroll Wheel: In the Beta 5, Apple brings the older scroll wheel and in the recent beta, the scroll wheel is changed and looks better.

Spatial Audio: Spatial Audio has been added to the iOS 14 Beta 6 which means we can now get better sounds with AirPods Pro. The spatial sound will bring the surround sound to the AirPod Pro. It is available in the AirPods settings. To enable it you have to turn on the Follow iPhone option.

So these are some of the new features you are going to notice in the first shot of exploring. But there are more chances that may not affect much on your day to day experience.
