The Gemini Live with Camera and Screen Sharing feature is now rolling out to Google Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 devices. If you have these models, you can talk to Gemini about what you see. It will soon roll out to other Android devices, but it will require a Gemini Advanced subscription.
The feature lets users ask Gemini live about anything they see using their phoneโs camera or screen. Whether youโve opened an app or page or are simply looking at the camera preview, you can ask anything, including follow-up questions about what you see on the screen.
The new Gemini Live features are also part of the April 2025 Pixel Drop but are limited to the Pixel 9 lineup in addition to the Galaxy S25 devices. You can watch how this feature works on Gemini Live on the YouTube video attached below.
When you come across something youโre curious about, simply activate the Gemini feature and tap on it to open the Gemini Live. Then tap on the camera icon or the screen share option to ask about it.
You can even ask Gemini Live to compare different products if youโre unsure which one to buy. Simply point the camera toward products and ask any questions you have about them. There are countless possibilities like these where you can utilize the Gemini Live.
This removes the hassle of explaining things to Gemini Live whenever we want to know about something. We can now just show it to Gemini through the camera, and it can detect and provide relevant answers.
Since the conversation happens in a natural, free-flowing manner, itโs fun to use this feature. If you own another Android phone, you can expect this feature to become available on your device through the Gemini Advanced subscription soon.
