Samsung kicked off the Android 16 and One UI 8 journey a couple of months ago. In late May, they released the first public beta for Galaxy S25 devices. The stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update is expected to be released soon. Samsung recently launched the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which are the first phones to ship with Android 16 based One UI 8 out of the box. While Samsung hasn’t officially revealed any list that show eligible models, they are transparent about their update policy.

These are the Samsung Galaxy devices that are eligible for the Android 16 and One UI 8 update. As usual, the latest premium series, the Galaxy S25 in this case, will receive the Android 16 update first. It will then be released to other devices over the next few months.
Samsung has officially confirmed that the One UI 8 will be released in the summer starting with the Galaxy S25 series. This means the stable Android 16 release for Samsung devices is close.
As per the public beta builds, the One UI 8 seems a promising update. It will bring many changes along with Android 16, such as new Adaptive lock screen clock, faster animation, improved stock apps and more.
