While many Galaxy users are still waiting for the stable One UI 7 update, Samsung has taken everyone by surprise with the One UI 8 beta program announcement. Given the delays and issues surrounding the One UI 7 rollout, it appears Samsung is aiming to get ahead of the curve this time by kicking off the One UI 8 beta early.
Samsung has officially published a press release, and the early access of One UI 8 beta goes live for the Galaxy S25 line of phones. The company also confirms that its upcoming foldable phones will run on Android 16-based One UI 8 out-of-the-box.
According to the official details, the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra is now live in Germany, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Anyone can take part in the beta program, but it’s important to note that early beta builds are not ideal for daily use; they may contain bugs and stability issues.
One UI 8 is coming, and early access is now available through its beta program โ kicking off a new era of software intelligence that brings a true multimodal AI agent designed for various Samsung Galaxy form factors.

Samsung has been diligently enhancing Galaxy AI, and this focus will continue with the rollout of One UI 8. The update will introduce multimodal capabilities, UX tailored to different device form factors, and personalized suggestions.
Apart from the AI features, One UI 8 will bring several features and improvements, including an all-new Reminder app, an enhanced Quick Share experience, Now Bar, Now Brief, and support for Bluetooth LE Audio with Auracast.
Join One UI 8 Beta on Galaxy S25
If you’re in a haste and want to try the One UI 8 features on your Galaxy S25, you can take part in the beta program. All you need to do is, download and open the Samsung Members app and check for Notices section (bell icon) and tap the One UI 8 beta banner.
After joining the beta program, navigate to Settings > Software Update to install the One UI 8 beta on your phone.
